ABOUT WOOD-DESTROYING PESTS

ABOUT WOOD-DESTROYING PESTS

HOW DO I GET RID OF TERMITES?

A professional technician may use a liquid insecticide around the infested area. Or, the technician may install a soil treatment, also known as a baiting system, around the perimeter of the home. Sometimes both methods are used.

DO I STILL NEED AN INSPECTION IF THE HOME IS UNDER A “TERMITE BOND”?

We highly recommend it! Wood-destroying insects can be extremely hard to find, so the more inspections you have, the better the protection.

I HAVE WOODPECKERS PECKING AT MY HOME. COULD THIS BE RELATED TO A WOOD-DESTROYING PEST?

Yes! There is a good chance you have a carpenter bee infestation. Woodpeckers eat the larvae.

MY HOME HAS ALREADY BEEN TREATED FOR TERMITES, SO DO I STILL HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT TERMITES?

There is a lower likelihood of having an active termite infestation, but having a prior treatment does not completely eliminate your risk of an active infestation.
